Zack Snyder Shares Unused Wonder Woman Photo That Would Have Changed Her Movie Origin Story

The photo you see above was featured in Zack Snyder’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and it features Wonder Woman showing that she fought in World War I. This photo was the jumping-off point for director Patty Jenkins’s Wonder Woman movie.

Well, there was another photo that Snyder initially planned on using that would have taken Wonder Woman down a totally different path.

The new photo was shared by The Nerd Queens, and it comes from the director himself. It features Diana Prince (Gal Gadot) surrounded by warriors during the Crimean War. This war started in 1853, long before WWI, and the war was fought over the Holy Lands. There’s even a samurai warrior in this group, which is pretty cool. I would have been down to watch Wonder Woman fight alongside a samurai! Oh, and then of course Wonder Woman is holding a bundle of severed heads!

There’s no doubt that this would have made an intriguing Wonder Woman story, with this group of badass colorful characters. I actually would have liked to see this concept turned into a film! They could have done this and the WWI story.

What do you think of the photo? Would you have like to see this story brought to life? Here’s a colorized version of it.
