Zack Snyder's Cameo in TEEN TITANS GO! Has Fans Campaigning Again to #RestoreTheSnyderVerse
Director Zack Snyder made a name for himself when he made action and horror movies Dawn of the Dead and 300, then he brought his unique style into the comic book genre with Watchmen, Man of Steel, and Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice. Fans were pretty excited to see his take on The Justice League, but when he had to back out of the film halfway through making it due to his daughter’s passing, Joss Whedon came in and screwed the whole thing up. This led to fans petitioning to #ReleaseTheSnyderCut of the film, which no one thought would actually happen. Then it did when HBO gave Snyder his chance to create the movie he’d intended, and fans were happy. Then they hoped he’d be able to continue making DC movies, so the hashtag #RestoreTheSnyderVerse was born and was a thing for a bit, but it died down. Now it’s back with the recent appearance of Zack Snyder on the fan-favorite animated series Teen Titans Go!.
At this year's San Diego Comic-Con, it was announced that Snyder would have a cameo in the 365th episode as an animated version of himself. The episode premiered on September 16th, 2022, and marked the conclusion of the show's 7th season.
It’s a really fun cameo that sees the Teen Titans show up at Zack Snyder’s as huge fans, and they get to hear his pitch for a Snyder-cut of their movie. It re-sparked fans’ love of the director, and #RestoreTheSnyderVerse is back in the headlines. Check out some of the posts that popped up over the last few days, and let us know what you think!
