ZELDA Co-Creator Wants Link to Be Played by a "Boyish" Actress

Last month it was reported that that Nintendo was looking to possibly get back into making movies. One game that some fans would love to see adapted for the big screen is The Legend of Zelda. If Nintendo is actually planning on rolling forward with movies, they'd be stupid not to put Zelda into development.

During and interview with MTV, Takashi Tezuka, the director and designer of the original Legend of Zelda video game said that she would like to see the title character played by a "boyish" female actress. Her exact quote is:

"This is just personally, it would be very fun and awesome if Link was played by a female actress, a boyish female actress."

I know Link is traditionally a dude, but I wouldn't object to seeing the character being played by a "boyish" woman. Hell, Link is a very soft-looking guy anyway. What do you think about Link being played by a girl in a potential movie?

Let us know who YOU think should play Link and Mario Bros in the comments! We're thinking Geordie Shore's Charlotte as Link and Gaz and Aaron as Mario and Luigi - that work? SUBSCRIBE NOW! http://youtube.com/subscription_center?add_user=MTVUKofficial Fill your life with MTV!
