Zendaya Stars in Trailer for Intense Tennis Love Triangle Drama CHALLENGERS

A new trailer has been released for the tennis drama Challengers, starring Zendaya (Euphoria, Spider-Man: No Way Home), Josh O’Connor (The Crown), and Mike Faist (West Side Story). The film is directed by Oscar-nominated director Luca Guadagnino (Call Me By Your Name, Suspiria) from a script by Justin Kuritzkes (Ticklish). The score for the film was written by Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross.

The synopsis reads:

“Zendaya’s Tashi Duncan, a former tennis prodigy turned coach and a force of nature who makes no apologies for her game on and off the court. Married to a champion on a losing streak, Tashi’s strategy for her husband’s redemption takes a surprising turn when he must face off against the washed-up Patrick – his former best friend and Tashi’s former boyfriend. As their pasts and presents collide, and tensions run high, Tashi must ask herself, what will it cost to win.”

This looks like an uncomfortable story. A love triangle involving two friends is undoubtedly a recipe for disaster. Check out the trailer for the film below, and watch Challengers in theaters on September 15th.
