Zoe Kravitz Has Been Cast as Catwoman in THE BATMAN

Zoe Kravitz (Big Little Lies, Divergent, X-Men) has been cast in the role of Catwoman in director Matt ReevesThe Batman. She will star alongside Robert Pattinson as Batman, Jeffrey Wright as Commissioner James Gordon, and Jonah Hill is still in talks for one of the main villain roles such as Penguin or Riddler.

It was previously reported that Lupita Nyong'o (Black Panther), Tessa Thompson (Thor: Ragnarok), Gugu Mbatha-Raw (Beauty and the Beast), Alexandra Shipp (X-Men: Dark Phoenix), and Logan Browning (Dear White People) were up for the role of Catwoman. Kravitz wasn’t previously mentioned, but she ended up landing the role!

It’s really not that hard to imagine Kravitz as Catwoman. It seems like a character she’ll have no problem fitting into. Out of all the actresses that have been mentioned, I like her for the role and think she’s a decent choice. It’ll be interesting to see what the rest of the fans think of the casting.

Pre-production on the Warner Bros. and DC film is expected to start this summer. The Batman is scheduled to hit theaters June 25th, 2021.
