Zoe Saldana Talks About GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY VOL. 3, Calling It a Journey and a Farewell
We just got to enjoy The Guardians of the Galaxy Holiday Special, and it was the perfect treat to hold us over until the film trilogy comes to an end next year. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 will be director James Gunn’s farewell to the characters we have grown to know and love, and one of them sat down to talk a bit about the film.
Zoe Saldana, who plays Gamora in the films, was recently promoting her upcoming Avatar sequel, and she opened up to Comic Book to talk about the final Guardians of the Galaxy film. When asked if the trailer which was recently released was an accurate representation of the final film, Saldana said:
"It is an accurate representation. It is a farewell. James Gunn is a really good writer. He really likes to write human characters with flaws. In a way, it's going to be a nice conversation, just like Avatar, to look around you. It's not just about your journey, it's about the journey of your environment and the people around you... maybe animals and nature. So it's going to be really nice."
I think we were all counting on this movie being a beautiful farewell. Gunn has put so much heart into this story, and I know it will be good. I just hope it doesn’t break our hearts too much.
Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 is slated for a May 5, 2023 release.
