ZOIDS is Making a Comeback!
I loved watching Zoids when it came to Western audiences via Toonami. If you’re unfamiliar, Zoids are just animal mecha that are possibly sentient depending on the series you watch. The various series are based on model kits that looked cool and were fun to put together.
Tomy Co. has not released any new models for 12 years, but to promote the new line, they are teaming with OLM Inc. to bring us a new anime called Zoids Wild. The two new Zoids we’ve seen look pretty sweet. The first looks like a new Liger model and the other looks like the Geno Breaker combined with a bit of a Rev Raptor.
We don’t know exact dates, but the new anime will come out this Summer and I’m excited! Also, a new manga will start things off in April. Then the new models will be in Japan in June. The fourth part of this multimedia rollout includes a new game for the Nintendo Switch! I’m very excited for all of these and can’t wait to hear about the release date or plot of the anime.
