Prime Video has released a cute trailer for their upcoming dog-centered holiday romantic comedy, Merv, starring Zooey Deschanel, who is no stranger to holiday movies (Elf) and breakup movies (500 Days of Summer), and Marvel’s Daredevil, Charlie Cox.

The movie is directed by Jessica Swale (Summerland) and written by Dane Clark and Linsey Stewart.

Merv is a romantic comedy about an ex-couple, Anna (Zooey Deschanel) and Russ (Charlie Cox), who must reunite to help their dog Merv, who is depressed after their breakup.

Russ takes Merv on a trip to Florida for Christmas to cheer him up, only for Anna to unexpectedly show up, leading to the rekindling of their romantic feelings. But can they work out their differences? We will have to watch to find out.

Merv arrives on Prime Video on December 10th. Check out the trailer below:
