Zordon Becomes a Guardian in Flashback for Preview of MIGHTY MORPHIN #16

If you’ve ever wanted to know about Zordon’s past, Mighty Morphin and Power Rangers from Ryan Parrott and his teams are the best place to go. We have our first look at Mighty Morphin #16 from writer Parrott, artist Marco Renna, colorist Walter Baiamonte with color assistance by Sara Antonellini and Sharon Marino, and letterer Ed Dukeshire which is the penultimate issue of the Eltarian War event. In the preview, we have Zartus, Zedd, and Zordon fighting after a flashback to when Zordon became a Guardian and it’s going to be very interesting to see how this fight ends. Speaking of, the synopsis provides some interesting food for thought.

In the aftermath of the battle, the ideologies of Lord Zedd and Zordon clash, despite a moment of mercy. As the Eltarian War approaches its end, long-awaited emotional resolutions will launch both Mighty Morphin and Power Rangers into the future, but the relationship between two Rangers takes a turn that neither may recover from.

Between Mighty Morphin #16 and Power Rangers #16, we’re going to see some interesting moments play out. After defeating Zartus, Zedd and Zordon are going to have some kind of conversation and/or another fight and something’s going to happen to the Zeo Crystal. Meanwhile, the Rangers are going to be going through quite a bit as well. The Rangers also have a lot to deal with. I have a couple guesses as to what is going to happen, but I could very well be wrong. I could see Jason and Tommy having another fight, Kimberly dumping Tommy, Matt and Tommy fighting again, or someone being mad at Billy. All are fairly likely, but I think my top pick is Kim dumping (or something else happening with her) and Tommy. What do you think we’ll see happen in the fallout?
