2 Fun International Posters for the GOOSEBUMPS Movie
I don't know about you, but I'm not really that excited about seeing this Goosebumps movie. I'm a fan of the R.L. Stein books, and the TV series that was released in the 90s. I'm just not sold on how they are handling the source material, and Jack Black just doesn't do it for me. That being said, I've seen a ton of positive reactions to this movie online and from friends. There are a lot of people who are actually excited about this film and who are looking forward to seeing it. So I'm sure it will do very well at the box office.
I have kids who are all about scary monsters and creepy creatures so of course I'll being taking them to see the movie like any good dad would. Who knows, maybe the movie will surprise me! The movie was directed by Rob Letterman, who has directed films such as Gulliver's Travels, Shark Tale, and Monsters vs. Aliens. Here's the synopsis:
Upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach’s comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange… he is a prisoner of his own imagination – the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it’s suddenly up to Stine, Zach, and Hannah to get all of them back in the books where they belong.
The movie will be released on October 16th, and I included an international trailer for you to watch below.
