2 Stunning PRINCESS LEIA #1 Comic Covers By Alex Ross
Marvel Comics' relaunch of Star Wars has been a pretty big hit. I especially like all of the variant cover art that has been created for the series! I recently came across two variant covers by Alex Ross for Princess Leia #1, which is the first comic ever to be headlined by Leia. Both illustrations are freakin' amazing. I especially like the the one above though, with Darth Vader and Luke Skywalker.
The five-issue limited series comes from writer Mark Waid (Daredevil, S.H.I.E.L.D.) and artist Terry Dodson (Avengers & X-Men: Axis, Uncanny X-Men), and here's the story description:
When Princess Leia Organa was captured by the Empire as a Rebel spy, she never betrayed her convictions, even in the face of the complete destruction of her home world, Alderaan. When her rescue came, she grabbed a blaster and joined the fight, escaping back to the Rebel Alliance and helping strike the biggest blow against the Empire—the destruction of the Death Star. But in the aftermath of that victory, the question remains...what is a princess without a world?
The variant cover above will become available for pre-order on February 20th at 10am EST, exclusively at AlexRossStore.com. The site also offers variants for Star Wars #1 and Darth Vader #1.
