Kat Dennings joins 'Defendor' and Jesse Eisenberg moves to 'Zombieland'

Nick and Norah's Infinite Playlist didn't do to bad this weekend and Kat Dennings is getting more work. I thought she was great as Norah. I couldn't imagine anyone else playing that role. It looks like she is going to Join Woody Harrelson and Sandra Oh in an upcoming superhero film called 'Defendor'. THR reports:

Written by Peter Stebbings, who also is making his directorial debut, the film centers on a regular guy (Harrelson) who believes he has a secret superhero identity. Dennings will play a teenager he befriends, while Oh is cast as his psychiatrist.

Sounds like it could be a fun movie. I am happy to see Woody Harrelson taking on some good roles. I thought the guy was great in 'Transiberian'. I didn't like most of the films he did in the 90's but he is picking some really good movies these days. He has also got another movie lined up called 'Zombieland'. Jesse Eisnberg recently joind this cast. THR reports:

The actor is in final talks to join Woody Harrelson in Columbia Pictures horror comedy "Zombieland," about a mismatched pair of survivors who find friendship and redemption in a world overrun by zombies.

Eisenberg is in negotiations to play Flagstaff, a terrified shut-in whose cowardice makes him an expert at surviving the zombies but who is forced out of his shell to join the band of survivors, which includes Harrelson.

Eisenberg has been in 'The Squid and the Whale', 'Roger Doger', and 'The Hunting Party'.

Both 'Defendor' and 'Zombieland' sound like they will be fun movies to watch.
