Amanda Peet is Cast in ‘2012'
‘2012' is a movie I am really looking forward to. I love the conspiracy behind the whole concept of ‘2012' bring on the end of the world. John Cusack has already been cast in the pic. Amanda Peet will be playing Cusacks ex-wife in the movie who was recently married to a wealthy man. Cusack is play the divorced father who is trying to make it as a writer while driving around limos as a job. Maybe he ends up driving around his ex-wife and new wealthy husband.
‘2012' revolves around a global cataclysm and the heroic struggle of the survivors'
The movie is being written and directed by Roland Emmerich.
Universal nabs rights to ‘Dragonology'
‘Dragonology' is a series of children's books. I have never heard of it until now, but it sounds pretty cool here is a description from Hollywood Reporter:
The faux nonfiction books by Dugald A. Steer are based on the conceit that dragons actually exist as revealed by the Victorian dragonologist Ernest Drake. An underlying theme is that dragons should be studied and revered in the same way as any rare species.
Hartman's fantasy adventure take revolves around a group of dragonologists who go on a globetrotting quest to keep a corrupt man from taking control of the world's dragons and using them to wipe out humanity.
They say it's a children's book but it sounds pretty heavy to me. I'll have to pick up a copy and check it out. Leonard Hartman is set to write and executive produce the adaptation.
Jon Voight joins the cast of ‘24'!
This is the first time he will have been on a TV series in 40 years! Voight has signed on to be in the 7th season and is set to play Jack Bauer's next target. He plays the bad guy who is behind what ever the terrorist threat will be in season 7! I love this show!
Robotech Movie gets a writer!
So this movie is movie forward! That's awesome! Last I heard Toby Maguire and his Maguire Entertainment was developing the film for Warner Bro's. It was announced over at CHUD that Lawrence Kasdan has been brought in to write the script. This is pretty cool because if you don't know Kasdan also wrote ‘The Empire Strikes Back', ‘Raiders of the Lost Ark', and the upcoming remake of ‘Clash of the Titans'. I can't wait to see this movie come to life on the big screen!
