Special Effects Legend STAN WINSTON has passed away

This is some sad news. Academy Award winner special effects and make-up artist Stan Winston passed away last night Sunday June 15th 2008 from Cancer.

Some of the work he is mostly known for include The Terminator movies, Jurassic Park, Aliens, Predator, and Edward Scissorhands.

Other movies he has done that you may not know he worked on include The Thing, Friday the 13th Part III, Alien Nation, The Monster Squad, Pumpkinhead, Interview with the Vampire, Congo, The Island of Doctor Moreau, Small Soldiers, Pearl Harbor, AI: Artificial Intelligence, Big Fish, Constantine, Batman Returns and Iron Man.

He also was currently working on James Camerons 'Avatar' and the new Terminator 4 film.

Stan Winston was an incredibly talented man. I am sure his work will stand the test of time. Our condolences go out to his family and friends.
