Stop it! There will not be a Top Gun 2

Good grief! The internet has gone crazy with this Top Gun 2 Tom Cruise story! I am surprised a lot of the big web sites ran with it especially considering the source of this information came from. The Sun, known for making shit up. Here is what their so called insider says:

"The idea is Maverick is at the Top Gun school as an instructor - and this time it is he who has to deal with a cocky new female pilot."

I am sure this would make a crazy amount of money if it did happen, but I really don't think it is going to happen. Tom would never go for it. I would be extreamly surprised if he did. I just wanted to take a moment and debunk this crap.
