Disney's 'The Princess and the Frog' Teaser Trailer

Venkman here and 2D traditional animation is not dead! Yes the new CG 3D cartoons looks amazing, but there is something about traditional animation that adds more life to the characters. there is a free flowing feel to the art that I love. it is nice to see Disney going back to its roots, thanks to John Lasseter At the end of the day though it all comes down to the story and the 'Princess and the Frog' is sure to be a classic. I love the setting and the feel this film brings. The Princess and the Frog is described as an:

American fairy tale musical centered on a young girl named Princess Tiana who lives in New Orleans' French Quarter during the 1920's Jazz Age.

How cool is that! I love that it is based in New Orleans in the 1920's when Jazz was a the top of its game. It looks like good ol Randy Newman will be doing the music. The movie has gathered the voices of Anika Noni Rose, Keith David, John Goodman, Jenifer Lewis, Angela Bassett and Peter Bartlett. Dreamgirls star Anika Noni Rose is providing the voice for the lead character, Tiana.

'The Princess and the Frog' is also making history with this animated movie. The lead Character Tiana will be the first Black Disney Princess. So thats pretty cool. The movie is being written and directed by Ron Clements and John Musker. These two guys also worked on 'Hercules', 'Aladdin', and 'The Little Mermaid'. So I think we are in for a pretty good animated film.

I think it will be a pretty fun movie. I am really interested in the Jazz music that will come out of this movie. I think it will be different from any other Disney musical because of it setting, characters and music.
