Simon Pegg has dodged the draft for 'Inglorious Bastards'

by Joey Paur

Venkman here - I am sad to bring you this news, but Simon Pegg will no longer be in Quentin Tarantino's 'Inglorious Bastards'. I thought it was great he was going to be in it but here is what he has to say on his Blog:

SIMON'S BLOG: Bad news.

Much to our mutual disappointment, I won't be appearing in QT's forthcoming Inglorious Bastards due to insurmountable scheduling difficulties. We really tried to make it work but in the end, it just was not possible without severe ramifications elsewhere.

I'm trying to remain upbeat, as Tom Selleck said "Who the hell is Indiana Jones anyway?"

Ya gotta hate the scheduling conflicts! But he did deliver some upbeat news reagarding his next movie and who is directing:

SIMON'S BLOG: Superbad news!!!

But "superbad" as in really good, as in the the film, Superbad, directed by Greg Mottola who, coincidentally will be directing mine and Nick's new movie, Paul. So there it is, the superbad, good news...

GREG MOTTOLA WILL BE DIRECTING PAUL!!!!!

So we have that to look forward to!

If you don't remember what this movie is it is called Paul and:

"It's a road movie about two British geeks called Graham and Clive who travel across America with a passenger... It's very funny. I'm perhaps the most pleased with it of anything I've ever done. It's going to be good."

So it's right down our ally.
