It's No Surprise that NBC will renew 'The Office' and '30 Rock'

by Joey Paur

NBC has gone ahead and made an early announcement that they will be bringing back a few shows that the majority of us geeks know and love. We have two of the best sitcoms on TV that will keep running on. 'The Office' and '30 Rock' are two incredibly funny shows, I don't know if you caught the new episodes recently but they were freakin funny so watch them if you didn't get the chance! And as you know '30 Rock' recently won a bunch of awards at The Golden Globes. Another show that will get another season is 'The Biggest Loser' so if you watch that then you get to watch more of it. 'Heroes' is has a secure future, they plan on running that until they bring the story to a conclusion. All of these show are solid performers at NBC so there is no reason in letting them go now.

As for new shows coming to NBC premiere dates have been set for its untitled Amy Poehler comedy (8:30 p.m. Thursday, April 9, the current "Kath & Kim" slot) and confirmed John Wells' new police drama "Southland" will take over for "ER" at Thursdays at 10 p.m. April 9, while "Kings" will air at 8 p.m. Sundays starting March 15. New cooking competition series "The Chopping Block" will premiere at 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 11, filling the "Knight Rider" slot.
