Back in June, we reported that Bryan Singer is still interested in directing X-Men Movies. The X-Men and X2: X-Men United director said then:

I don’t know. It’s one of those things where…It’s so weird talking about stuff unless I’m about to ramp up and shoot it.

Well, now he's talking about it. Yesterday, at South Korea's Pusan International Film Festival, Bryan Singer said  he's interested in making another X-Men movie and has discussed the possibility with 20th Century Fox. He said:

I'm still looking to possibly returning to the X-Men franchise. I've been talking to Fox about it. I love Hugh Jackman. I love the cast.

I loved Singer's X-Men movies... but not the last two train wrecks we've gotten with Ratner's X3: Last Stand, and that Origins fiasco. There are so many different X-Men projects in the works, who knows what he could be in talks to direct?! It could be x4, a continuation of his series(where hopefully main characters aren't still dead). He could take on the prequel First Class, but he sites loving to work with Hugh Jackman, so maybe the Wolverine sequel(also a prequel)? To quote Frank the Tank,"Maybe it's something really cool that I don't even know about."

He added that he loves making science fiction and fantasy movies because they allowed him to discuss serious issues through entertainment. Singer said the X-Men series is about tolerance and social structures. He says that the story allows him to...

...trick audiences into thinking they're seeing fireworks, but they're learning about themselves and listening to what I have to say.

As he is also preparing to take on the highly controversial Battlestar Galactica reboot, he added of sci-fi in general:

The excitement about working in science fiction and fantasy is — the stories, if they are good, are about the human condition.

What do you think of Bryan Singer possibly returning to the X-Men franchise?
