David Tennant Joins Simon Pegg in BURKE AND HARE

We reported back in Augusts that director John Landis and actor Simon Pegg were going to team up and make a film called Burke and Hare. Word has hit the street that Dr. Who star David Tennant has been cast in the film as well!

Burke and Hare will be based on the true story known as the West Port murders, these crimes were perpetrated in Edinburgh, Scotland, in 1827 and 1828. The killings were attributed to Irish immigrants William Burke and William Hare, who sold the corpses of their seventeen victims to the Edinburgh Medical College for dissection.

I assume that Simon Pegg and David Tennant will be playing the two main characters in the story. This is great all around casting and it should be cool to see there two actor work together. Director John Landis is known for directing comedies like Animal House and the Blue Brothers, so I would think this dark tale is going to have a decent amount of humor in it.

I'm looking forward to seeing how this turns out! What do you think of the Pegg and Tennant team up?
