WTF Casting Choice: Adrien Brody in Predators?

Predator

Nimrod Antal and Robert Rodriguez's Predators is about to commence shooting, and they've added some unusual names to their cast. Variety reports Adrien Brody, with the help of some hard lobbying by his reps, has scored the main role as the leader of a gang of humans who must battle their way across a planet of Predators. 20th Century Fox is hoping this reboot will breathe life into the series and kick start the franchise, so Brody has signed on for potential sequels as well. (This doesn't necessarily mean his character won't die in Predators, just that he might appear in flashbacks or something of that nature in future sequels.)

For the record, I think Brody will be fine in this type of role - Bill Paxton proved in Aliens that you don't have to be Arnold-sized to battle space creatures. Adrien Brody was one of the best parts of Peter Jackson's King Kong, so if he can bring that gravity to the character while throwing in the occasional one-liner, I don't think his physicality (or apparent lack thereof) will be his downfall.

Also throwing their hat into the Predators news ring tonight is The Hollywood Reporter, claiming Topher Grace is in contention for a role as "an accountant type whose unassuming facade masks a dangerous serial killer." Grace needs a rebound after wallowing in public perception with Spider-Man 3; perhaps this could be the about-face he's looking for.

What do you think about this casting information? Does this make you more or less excited about Predators, and do you think Brody and Grace are right for the job?
