LEAP YEAR Trailer - Will Amy Adams marry a Watchmen or a Stepbrother?

Here's the trailer for the new romantic-comedy Leap Year, from director Anand Tucker(Shop Girl).

Leap Year stars Amy Adams as Anna, an uptight woman who travels to Dublin to propose to her boyfriend Jeremy, played by Adam Scott (Step Brothers), on leap day, Feb. 29, following an Irish tradition in which women propose to men on that day and the man has to say yes. When weather derails her trip, she enlists the help of Declan, played by Matthew Goode(Ozymandias in Watchmen), a surly Irish innkeeper to make an unexpected cross-country trek to pull off the perfect proposal in time.

Though the trailer looks extremely predictable and grossly familiar -- Adams and Goode pretend to be a couple, and they are forced to kiss, causing a romantic spark -- the scene is line for line like the one in The Proposal. But the film has a good cast and two great screenwriters behind it with Simon Beufoy(Slumdog Millionaire, Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day) and Harry Elfont(Can't Hardly Wait, Made of Honor) penning the script. Can't say this looks like something I'll rush out to go see, but it has all the right people behind it. I'll have to see more... or somehow see less, because this basically shows the end of the movie.
