Paramount Pictures making Doc Holliday Action Adventure film

The famous Doc Holliday is going to get his own action adventure film! Paramount Pictures recently acquired the rights to a spec script written by Chad St. John called, The furthre Adventures of Doc Holliday. They want to turn it into a Western tentpole film.

Now, I'm a huge fan of westerns and a history buff, so I think a movie about Doc Holliday would be awesome! If they do it right. They don't really go into any details about what is planned for it but they do explain that is will be a history-based action adventure story in the vein of Pirates of the Caribbean. I hope they actually stick to historical facts when making this movie, that's why Doc Holiday's life was so interesting. There's no point in making a fictional movie about Doc Holliday because then it's not really Doc Holliday.

Holliday is the famous gunfighter in the old west, he had tuberculosis and he most famous for his friendship with Wyatt Earp and the Gunfight that went down at the O.K. Corral in Tombstone Arizona in 1881. I'm sure you know all this already because I assume you've all seen the movie Tombstone. If not shame on on you go buy it now. In my opinion Val Kilmer played the definitive Doc Holiday.

Lets hope we get a decent western out of this.
