5 Movie Santa’s You Don’t Want to Mess With
The Holidays are here! And I came up with a pretty fun list for all of you that focuses on Santa Claus films with Santa characters that you really wouldn’t want to mess with. These are either awesome bad-ass Santa’s that are trying to do good and fight for their right to make people happy, or the Santa’s are very disturbed individuals that are looking to wreak havoc during the Holiday season. This is definitely not a best of Christmas movie list. These are films that fall into the "so bad they are good" category. Each movie has a little film clip or trailer included. Enjoy and Happy Holidays!
Santa Claus
Santa Claus is a film that was made in 1959 and produced in Mexico. In this awesome film Santa Claus doesn’t reside in the North Pole, he works from a castle in outer space that is equipped with an incredible amount of high tech surveillance devises. As he prepares to deliver presents on Christmas night the Devil sends a demon to Earth to ruin Christmas by killing Santa and making all the children of the Earth do evil. Santa ends up joining forces with Merlin the magician to battle the Devil and save christmas.
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians
Santa Claus Conquers the Martians is a Christmas sci-fi film that was made in 1964 during the Cold War-era. It is considered one of the worst films ever made, but honestly... I don’t see how you can go wrong with a film where Santa is captured by Martians, and taken to Mars where he ultimately foils the plan that the Martians had to destroy him.
Santa’s Slay
Santa’s Slay takes place on the Christmas Eve of 2005, Santa Claus who is played by wrestler Bill Goldber arrives in Hell Township killing the locals. The teenager Nicholas Yuleson finds that his grandfather is actually an angel that defeated the devil’s son in a bet, and the evil creature has spent the last one thousand years playing a good Santa Claus, giving toys to the children. Now that the bet is over, Santa Claus wants revenge. Nicholas and his girlfriend Mary Mackenzie try to escape from the killer and find a way to stop him until the end of Christmas.
The Hebrew Hammer
The Hebrew Hammer was released in 2003, and in the film it suggests that the role of Santa Claus is traditionally passed down from father to son. This system is disrupted when the reigning Santa is murdered by his son, Damian, who uses his new Santa position to attack the competing holidays of Hanukkah and Kwanza. A bad-ass Jewish superhero known as The Hebrew Hammer battle Santa’s evil son and tries to stop him from destroying Hanukkah and making everyone celebrate Christmas.
Christmas Evil
Christmas Evil is a 1980’s cult film, and is one of the first Christmas slasher films. The movie starts out on Christmas Eve in 1947 when little Harry is traumatized when he catches his mother being groped by Santa Claus, which is actually Harry’s dad. The child then goes up to the attic and cuts his hand with a shard of glass from a shattered snow globe. 13 years later Harry becomes obsessed with Christmas. He rewards the nice, but punishes the naughty on a Yuletide killing spree.
