Live-Action BUSHIDO 16 Trailer - Coming of Age high school film that revolves around Sword Fighting

TrailerMovie Anime by Joey Paur

High school movies just got a lot more interesting with Japanese girls and samurai swords. Here is the first teaser trailer for the live-action adaptation of the popular anime, Bushido 16.

This is your classic coming of age high school movie that involves a pair of high school girls, but they are training in the art of kendou.

Here’s the synopsis:

Bushido Sixteen centers around two female competitors of another Japanese tradition, kendou (sword-fighting). Kaori is an accomplished kendou practitioner, but she finds herself facing an unexpected opponent in Sanae, a superficially weaker fighter who bests Kaori in a bout.

Riko Narumi and Kie Kitano star in the film and Tomoyuki Furuyama is directing.

The movie looks like it could be a lot of fun. I’m sure I’ll have to wait for it to come out on DVD before I actually get to see it. Check out the trailer below and tell us what you think!
