Well if they gotta remake Nightmare on Elmstreet at least it will be with Jackie Earle Haley
I hope anyway. It is being reported by Bloody-Disgusting that Jackie Earl Haley has entered final negotiations to play the iconic horror dream killer Freddy Krueger in the 'A Nightmare on Elmstreet' remake. Haley has always been my first choice to take on the role. He just carries that whole creepy factor around with him, and he fits the character perfectly. Latino Review actually broke news that he was on a list of actors they wanted for the role. Now it looks like the news is coming to life.
If you don't know who Jackie Earl Haley is he played Rorschach in Watchmen, and he did an incredible job. The guy is a great actor, and I am really interested to see what he will bring to the character of Freddy Krueger. Haley being cast as Freddy in the film is the only reason for me to see this movie.
Expect an official announcement to hit next week.
