The comic book miniseries 'Station' has recently been picked up by CBS Films with plans to turn it into a full on sci-fi theatrical movie of awesomeness. Screenwriter Jeff Vintar has been brought on board to write the script. Vintar also wrote 'Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within' and 'I, Robot'.  I, Robot producer Laurence Mark will produce the movie along with the comic book studio Boom!

In 'Station', five nations have sent their finest astronauts to operate Earth's first multinational space station, but when one turns up dead, the remaining personnel race against time to discover if it was sabotage, an accident or murder.

Lawrence Mark says:

"This feels like a Hitchcock movie in a James Cameron setting, and Jeff is ideally suited to adapt this graphic novel,"

A science fiction Hitchcock movie!? Could you imagine? I have to say this is the kind of story and setting that really speaks to the geek in me. I can't help but get excited for this movie.

Now that I think about it, Duncan Jones' film 'Moon' with Sam Rockwell had a nice Hitchcock quality to it as well.
