MISSION IMPOSSIBLE IV targeted for 2011 release

jjandtom

As Venkman reported last week,  Tom Cruise and JJ Abrams are gonna be back for a fourth installment of Mission: Impossible. Abrams directed and wrote the third MI. But as of yet, he's only signed on to produce. I hope he comes on to fully helm the project. Because the last one was simply amazing. I was really surprised that it didn't do better in theaters.

Well, today we get news that they've slated the MI IV for a 2011 release. Or is it a 201v release? Anyway, Variety also reports that the sequel will most likely be delayed, with Abrams helming the Star Trek sequel, and Tom Cruise committed to co-star with Cameron Diaz in an untitled film project.
