Well folks, we got through the weekend without reporting on any new movie remake news, but this is a new week and there is a bit of new news I think you need to know. The classic 1980's horror/comedy 'An American Werewolf in London' is the latest film to be kidnapped by Hollywood and forced into a dreaded remake. The writer and director of the original film John Landis has sold the remake rights to Dimension Films who is currently developing Rob Zombie's 'Halloween 2'. Is Landis hurting for money or something?

If you haven't seen the original film you need to go and check it out.  It follows two American tourists in England who are attacked by a werewolf that none of the locals will admit exists. One of them becomes a werewolf and is forced to deal with the new big change in his life.

The original film is great, and like most remakes there is really no need for this movie to get a reboot. Is anyone interested in seeing how bad Hollywood is going to screw this one up?

Here is the trailer of the original film for your enjoyment:
