Oh man! Can you feel the excitment in the air!? That would be Comic-Con 2009 breathing down the back of your neck. How about that picture of the Avatar banner above!? Pretty freakin cool! That's right, San Diego has already started pimping out the city with all things geek!

Seeing that banner pretty much guarantees that we will see some footage from James Cameron's 'Avatar', and I can't wait! Hall H has also been outfitted to support showing 3-D footage!

So here are a few other things and reminders about what is going down at Comic-Con this year.

Derrick Comedy will be bringing their 'Mystery Team' film to the convention. They will have a special preview screening of the entire film on Tuesday, July 23rd at 8pm over at the Horton Plaza theaters. This is something you don't want to miss! You will be able to pick up passes to the screening over at the Mystery Team booth on Wednesday or Thursday.

You will also be able to go see a Saturday midnight screening of Darren Lynn Bousman's 'Repo! The Genetic Opera'. according to slashfilm Bousman will be in attendance. You can purchace your tickets now over at Fandango . I'm sure it will be a whole big dress up event.

MTV is reporting that Overture Films will be showing off some scenes from  the sci-fi/horror film 'Pandorum' on the 23rd of July. The panel will include stars Ben Foster, Cung Le and Antje Traue. Unfortunately Dennis Quaid will not be there, but he will have a little recorded greeting for everybody.

MTV also say's that 'Office Space', 'King of the Hill Creator' Mike Judge will be showing us footage from him new feature film 'Extract'. This will happen on July 25th.

And here is somthing I am really pretty exciting. FirstShowing is reporting that Shane Acker's CGI animated action film '9' will have a special sneak preview screening. There are no details yet on when and where it will happen, but just keep an eye out for it on the showroom floor.

So thats the latest Comic-Con news! Hope to see you all there! Remember if your going we will be giving GeekTyrant shirts to all of our readers!
