BLACK PANTHER to be played by Lost's "Mr Eko" Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje?

Movie Marvel by Eli Reyes

I'm glad I live in a day and age where I can copy and paste someone's name. If not, I would have definitely misspelled "Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje." Or it would have taken me quite a bit longer. Though I guess me explaining this, has taken significantly longer than it would have to just spell his name... hmm.

In an interview with MTV, Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje, who starred in Lost, as the stick wielding fan favorite Mr Eko, and can be seen in the upcoming G.I Joe, said that he's been in talks with Marvel for the lead role in a big-screen adaptation of Black Panther. What?! Awesome! Good thing it's in the hands of Marvel! And not... ya know? I think Adewale would be absolutely perfect for the role.

But don't take my word for it, watch the interview below, or read the main points underneath!

We're talking to Marvel about Black Panther. This is the first round, so you know, hopefully they'll look at G.I. Joe and see the potential. But it's about time we have a black superhero, isn't it?

He's from a fictional village in Africa and the timing is so right for that kind of character to come through. And while I'm in my prime, this is the time. We've got Obama, now we need something on screen to represent, so... 'Panther,' man.

So what do you think of Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje as Black Panther?
