Sony Pictures has picked up a pitch from screenwriter Sheldon Turner to take the inFAMOUS video game and adapt it into big screen madness. The deal went down, and Turner made seven figures off the deal. Not a bad payday. The studio is currently working on getting a deal made for the rights to the game. I new it was only a matter of time before it would get it's movie deal.

The game revolves around a bike messenger named Cole MacGrath, who survives an explosion that destroys entire blocks of Empire City only to find he has new electricity-derived super powers. The action game allows the player to use his powers for good or evil, as MacGrath's karma affects how the devastated city's people and infrastructure deal with him.

Here is what Turner had to say regarding the game:

"What excited me most about the game was it was the first of which I've come across that had a big idea and a character arc. It is, I believe, the future of gaming. The game, while big and fun, is at its core a love ballad to the underachiever, which is what our hero, Cole McGrath, is."

I think it could end up being a pretty cool  film, the game is really fun, and it got a really cool concept. Avi Arad will serve as one of the producers on the film. Do you think the game will make for a good movie?
