This movie looks like it is pretty crazy, and according to the people that have seen it already, it is one of the scariest films that has been made in years. Here is what people have said about Oren Peli's Paranormal Activity: Evidence of a Haunting.
"Possibly the Scariest Movie Ever Made and the Best Reason
to Wear Diapers at the Cinema... Paranormal Activity
is not for the weak hearted and is one of the few films that stays with you
after you’ve left the theater to the point that you wished it wouldn’t.
Paranormal Activity is our generation’s The Exorcist" -
"Paranormal Activity is the best American horror film in recent memory,
and one of the scariest movies of the decade. Good luck getting to sleep after this one."
- Simon A, Gun In The First Act
"I haven’t been this spooked for a long, long time.
Paranormal Activity is genuinely frightening"
"At about the 40 minute mark, I was shit-scared.
it had been 20-odd years since a film had frightened me like Paranormal Activity,
and I was loving every minute of it. "

Now I love myself a good ghost story, and this looks like it should be great. So where has this film been? DreamWorks picked it up after it went through a couple film festivals, and they planned to remake it. The remake never happened and apparently Paramount Pictures kept the rights to the film after DreamWorks broke up with them.
The film is about a young couple that suspects that their house is haunted by a malevolent entity. They set up video surveillance to capture evidence of what happens at night as they sleep. Their surveillance and home videos have been edited into the 99 minute feature film "Paranormal Activity".
Apparently Some incredible footage was captured. The interpretation of what it means, is up to the viewer.
This is like one of my favorite TV shows, Ghost Hunters, but taken to an extreme level of scary.
Today bloody-disgusting reports that Paramount Pictures are looking to release the film on September 25th. I guess the cut released in the theater will be different than the film festival cut.
