Courtney Love wants to sue Activision?!

Lady you crazy! If you say it fast and as one word, it sounds kinda like your speaking Italian. "Layta-u-crasee!"

In response to the use of Kurt Cobain's image as an avatar in Activision's Guitar Hero 5, Cobain's widow Courtney Love had this to say on her her Twitter feed.

For the record this Guitar Hero sh*t is breach of contract on a Bullys part and there will be a proper addressing of this and retraction

It is quite bizarre seeing Cobain dancing around and belting out Bon Jovi and laying down the rhymes to Flava Flav. A lot of fans find the games use of dead rock stars disrespectful to their image and legacy. Whatever side you stand on, I guarantee Activision covered their asses and jumped through every legal hoop imaginable before using their likenesses.

Which of course they did! Using Cobain in the game reportedly took three years of negotiations, with Love, Universal Publishing, and former Nirvana drummer Dave Grohl all involved.

A fact that Love probably didn't consider or remember when she also tweeted:

FOR THE RECORD I DID NOT APPROVE KURTS AVATAR FOR GUYITARHERO5. i think Kurt would despise this game alone let alone this avatar.

As well as:

WE are going to sue the sh*t out of ACtivision we being the Trust the Estate the LLC the various LLCs Cobain Enterprises.

Wow! Those tweets are so confusing they could go on fortune cookies. So she's so angry that she can no longer spell or properly put a sentence together. It is just a game, right? But hey, when there is money being made, people are gonna chase it.



For quite a while, the biggest thing hurting Cobain's legacy, I hate to say it, has been Courtney Love herself. She makes Lindsay Lohan look like a girl scout. She milks every opportunity and every penny she can get out of Cobain's spotlight. Do you really think people are gonna judge the character from the video game as Cobain himself??? Lady you crazy.

She also recounts her first encounter with the game by tweeting:

Look, you haven't seen it in IMAX 3D, which is the way James Cameron... wait! Wrong avatar.

My opinion is just a smidge biased but considering the whole "grunge movement" rang the death bell for Rock and Metal as we knew it during that era and I consider Cobain the most overrated, talentless hack to ever strum a Fender JagStang....Nothing pleases me more than to see an ultra crappy avatar of him in his mopey ass - my life sucks, iconic green granny sweater and unwashed hair singing 'Fame' by David Bowie (ya know, a real musician/singer/legend) and though not the greatest band of the era, watching him singing 'You Give Love a Bad Name' by Bon Jovi is just poetic justice at it's finest.

Legends and Icons don't blow their brains out the backs of their heads because they're too famous and leave a beautiful baby girl alone to be raised by a cokewhore/skank like Courtney... only cowardly wastes of human flesh do that and Cobain is (was) their king.
