Trailer for Morel and Besson's DISTRICT 13: ULTIMATUM

No, this is not a sequel to this years Neil Blomkamp sci-fi film District 9! But it is an action packed sequel from a couple of guys who have been bringing it droves lately.

From director Pierre Morel and writer Luc Besson– the team behind last year’s sleeper hit Taken, and the upcoming film From Paris With Lovecomes their newest action flick District 13: Ultimatum.

The sequel to their 2004 original District 13, Ultimatum is set three years after the events of the original film, where the authorities are attempting to return law and order to ravaged District 13. However the death of gang overlord Taha Bemamud at the end of the previous film has left a power vacuum, and total control of the area is now being fought over by five rival territorial gang lords who want to step into Taha's position of overlord over District 13. Damien(Cyril Raffaelli) and Leito(David Belle) return to District 13 on a mission to bring peace to the troubled sector before the secret services of Paris take drastic measures to solve the problem.

The trailer features tons of explosions, brutal martial arts fight scenes, and crazy urban acrobatics. If you caught The Office's season opener, you know what type of stunts I'm talking about. If not, check out the Demo Reel from the guy doing stunts for Kick-Ass.

District 13: Ultimatum was released in France back in February(French title: Banlieue 13: Ultimatum), and will come out on DVD in the UK and Germany early October. No word of a US release just yet.
