Diablo Cody to Write Hugh Hefner Biopic?

The Hugh Hefner bio pic is still moving forward and will eventually get made. There hasn't been much news on the film since we heard Brett Ratner was supposed to produce and potential direct, and Robert Downey Jr. was rumored to star as the Hef man himself. We got an update recently from Hugh Hefner himself. He recently told the world one of the people he is interested in writing the film for Universal's Playboy movie on the magazine founder's life. On Twitter, Hefner posted:

Meeting with Diablo COdy to talk about the Brian Grazer Playboy film today.

Yes, Diablo Cody is one of the screenwriters he is looking at to write the script for his life story. I can see her taking on that challenge, I don't oppose her writing the film, it will give her something different to work on, work some different creative writing muscles. She's only written two movies that have been released so far, Juno which was really good, and Jennifer's Body which wasn't really good at all, but it seemed like she had fun with it, which is cool. Personally I'm not really interested in a movie about Hugh Hefner's life anyway so I don't really care who writes it as long as they can make it interesting.

Nothing is confirmed about her writing the script, it  was just a meeting, most likely to throw around movie ideas, and how they can make his life more interesting than it really is. What are your thoughts on this news?
