It Looks Like THE HOBBIT Will be Delayed until 2012

We heard rumblings no too long ago regarding The Hobbit being pushed back yp 2012, then Peter Jackson came out and said that those rumblings weren't true, that it would get the 2011 release date as planned. But now unfortunately we are back to 2012. Here is the news that was reported by Variety:

[Warners top dog Alan] Horn won’t predict when the first of the two Hobbit films will be out, but says the most probable scenario would be a release in the fourth quarter of 2012.

That’s one full freakin' year behind schedule. I would think that the biggest reason for this is the financial burden that MGM is currently going through right now. But it didn't stop them from getting James Bond in production prep. The film hasn't even been given the official green light yet, and people were questioning whether Guillermo Del Toro could have even wrapped the film up by the end of next year anyway.

I think it sucks that we have to wait even longer to see this film get made, but all that matters is that it gets made. I better not get the news that the production is scrapped cause that'll piss me off!
