Empire Magazine's Awesome KICK-ASS Fold-out Cover

PhotosMovie Kick-Ass by Joey Paur

A great looking new fold-out Empire magazine cover for the upcoming Matthew Vaughn directed comic book film Kick-Ass was unleashed today, and it looks pretty damn slick. From the sound of it, the magazine is going to have some pretty interesting information to read up on. They did interviews with all the cast and crew, and talk about Adam West's influence, and casting choices that almost happened. Empire gives you a little preview of what to expect.

Inside, we have interviews with all the cast and crew, including Nicolas Cage on the influence of Adam West's Batman ("That's Big Daddy's Jungian muse, to help him accomplish the things he accomplishes") and Matthew Vaughn on why he originally had Zac Efron in mind for the Red Mist role now occupied by Christopher Mintz-Plasse. "We initially met Chris Mintz-Plasse for Dave, because we were thinking about making Dave (Kick-Ass) a really, really geeky kid. And we thought it would be interesting if Red Mist was the much cooler guy."

Like I said, it looks like there's going to be some pretty cool and interesting stuff to read about regarding this film. I actually had the opportunity to talk to the star of the film, Aaron Johnson, and I asked him about the sequel, but he wouldn't give anything up. He did say he's heard the ideas they are working on and that they were awesome, but nothing beyond that.

I just know this movie is going to blow people away. Check out the the full images of the magazine cover below!
