First Look at IRONCLAD - James Purefoy and his big-bloody Sword

Here's our first look at the medieval-era action film Ironclad, from writer-director Jonathan English (Minotaur). The photo features James Purefoy, who we'll soon be seeing in another modestly budgeted sword flick Solomon Kane. Purefoy is holding a monster of a sword, and he and his trusty blade are covered in copious amounts of blood.

Ironclad stars Purefoy as a member of the formidable Knights Templar and his "Magnificent Seven" cohorts who must defend Rochester Castle against King John (Paul Giamatti) and his army in 13th century England. Richard Attenborough, Robert Carlyle, Bob Hoskins, Pete Postlethwaite, Brian Cox, William Moseley, Jason Flemyng, Mackenzie Crook, and Kate Mara round out the cast.
