FOX Developing Musicial Set to Beach Boys Music

20th Century Fox has acquired the rights to a feature film musical set to the music of the Beach Boys that will be produced by Craig Zadan, Neil Meron and John Stamos. Zadan and Meron produced Hairspray and executive produced Chicago. They are also currently in pre-production on Paramount's Footloose.

Fox beat out Universal Pictures in a bidding war for the project, which will be written by Susannah Grant who worked on Erin Brockovich. There's no information on what this movie is going to be about, but film will follow a fictional storyline, much as the film Mamma Mia!

Not sure what this film is going to end up being like, but I enjoy listening to the Beach Boys!
