Fox Picks Up NAPOLEON DYNAMITE Animated Series

Thanks to Fox, we may soon find out if Uncle Rico can throw a football over them mountains. The network, according to Deadline Hollywood, has picked up an animated series based on Jared Hess’ Napoleon Dynamite and plans to air it next season.

Worried the artistic integrity of the original work will be lost in the animated version? Never fear! Hess and his wife Jerusha, both of whom wrote the script for the film, put together the cartoon with The Simpsons’ Mike Scully. Also, the entire original cast will reprise their roles. Yessss.
