James Franco and Anne Hathaway up for Roles in ALIEN Prequel
As Ridley Scott's Alien prequel is preparing to go into production there is more news on some possible cast members. According to bloody-disgusting, James Franco and Anne Hathaway could end up being cast in the sci-fi horror film. Niether of the actors are officially signed on yet, but you can add them to the short list of other actors being considered for roles such as Natalie Portman and Noomi Rapace.
Regardless of who ends up getting cast in the film, they are looking at a great group of actors to star in the film. Whose to say all of these actors don't get cast in different roles in the film?
The recent draft of the script was written by Lost's Damon Lindelof. There are no major plot details of the film, but it is set 35 years before Scott's original Alien film.
It was previously revealed that FOX is looking to make this new Alien prequel PG-13 with sources saying, "The thinking is that if the original Alien were released today, minus the F-bombs, you could still get a PG-13. Alien is a very Jaws-ian movie: There’s no sex, and while there’s lots of violence, most of it is off-camera. Maybe you’d have to cut away from certain scenes two seconds earlier, but it could be done."
Twentieth Century Fox is trying to get the film into production fast, so I guess we can expect some official casting announcements soon.
What do you think of the actors they are looking to cast in the film?
