I have to say, Mel Gibson showing up in The Hangover 2 would be a pretty incredible cameo. As you know Mike Tyson had a hilarious cameo in the first film. I guess this is an attempt to help save and mend his career, which isn't in the best shape right now.
Last week actress Sasha Barrese teased that we could expect to see another huge cameo in the sequel saying,
It’s the best cameo you’ve ever seen in your entire life…It’s a guy, [but] that’s all I’m going to say. It’s the best.
Now a source has revealed that Mel Gibson is that guy. According to Page Six, "It's a done deal. Mel will make a cameo as a tattoo artist. Filming is going to take place on the Warner Bros. lot, where a Bangkok set has been built, and Mel is expected to film his role in two weeks. Then the production moves to Thailand at the end of October."
Gibson was recently dropped from the William Morris Endeavor agency after his latest publicly made problem. I really hope that they don't use this cameo to make fun of himself, and what he's currently going through. I just hope it's a fun character cameo.
The sequel will follow the original Hangover gang, played by Bradley Cooper, Ed Helms, Zack Galifianakis and Justin Bartha, as they take a boys' trip to Thailand with a dangerous stop in Bangkok. Asian gangster Mr. Chow, played by Ken Jeong, will also return.
