Olivia Wilde to Play Justin Timberlake's mom in Sci-Fi Film from Andrew Niccol
Yeah you read the headline correct, the beautiful Olivia Wilde from the TV series House and the upcoming film Tron: Legacy will be playing Justin Timberlakes mother in a new untitled sci-fi thriller being developed by Andrew Niccol (Gattaca). The rest of the cast includes Amanda Seyfried, Cillian Murphy, Vincent Kartheiser and Collins Pennie.
It's a little weird that she's playing the mom of someone that I beleive is older than her. But it's all explained in the explination of what the film is about.
The story takes place in a future society where, thanks to a scientific breakthrough, no one has to age. Aging stops at 25 and time has become the currency. The rich are immortal, while the rest struggle to stay alive.
The story follows a rebel from the ghetto (Timberlake) who is falsely accused of murdering a wealthy man for his time, and goes on the run with a beautiful hostage (Seyfried). The duo unite in a battle against the system as they struggle to stay alive.
Kartheiser plays the father of Seyfried's character, who is forced to choose between the daughter he loves and the oppressive time system that has made him rich.
As for Murphy he plays a ruthless law enforcement officer tracking the protagonists, and Collins Pennie will play his right-hand man.
