New BATTLESTAR GALACTICA Spinoff Is Headed Our Way!

                                

Here's some pretty cool news today! Syfy has reportedly given the greenlight for a Battlestar Galactica spinoff titled "Blood and Chrome". This was to be a 9 part web series in the beginning but word is the writing by Michael Taylor is so good Syfy has ordered a pilot. 

The story will follow a young William Adama one year into the first Cylon war. We might also see younger versions of other familiar faces from BSG and others from Caprica.

Here's what Syfy VP Mark Stern had to say;

"When we read Michael's script, it was so clearly a full-blown pilot for a series.  The scope is fantastic and bigger, I think, than anticipated, so we said, 'Let's do it as a 2-hour backdoor pilot."

A version of the beloved Galactica will return and hopefully Nico Torez will return as young Bill Adama, that's the plan anyway!  That is his name, right?

It sounds like that they are ready to go with this so we might see it by the end  of 2011 or early 2012.
