Co-Director Brian Taylor Comments On GHOST RIDER 2 and Nic Cage's Role

                        

 Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance begins filming on November 2nd with a crazy rumor going around that Nic Cage would be playing the hero and villain role.  Collider has caught up with co-director Brian Taylor who has set the record straight. the answe is a "YYes" but it's not what you think. Cage will once agaiin play Johnny Blaze and Ghost Rider.

  Here's what Taylor tweeted the other day regarding duel roles;

The dual role of blaze/zarathos will be a nic cage classic

  Now here's what he had to say after the fans got stirred up a little;

zarathos is the spirit of vengeance that inhabits john blaze when he becomes ghost rider.  unlike the 1st movie, where the rider was stiffly acted out by a various stunt guys, nic will be playing all the ghost rider stuff himself – and we are creating a whole physical language for the demon that is different from the human blaze.

  The directing team of Taylor and Neveldine are on to something here! as the ghost Rider character himself was kind of lacking and boring in the first venture they are letting Cage act out both roles this time which sounds like a plan. Whether you like Cage or not he can act, that' why he still get's all the work he gets and this just shows the faith the filmmakers have in Cage do breath some life "or death" in the Spirit of Vengeance.
