Ronald D. Moore Possibly Developing a Reboot of WILD, WILD WEST

TV Battlestar Galactica by Wejo

We may eventually see another revamped television series from the mind of Battlestar Galactica’s Ronald D. Moore. EW’s Michael Ausiello reports that Moore is “in the very early stages” of developing a new version of 60s SciFi Western Wild, Wild West.

The original series starred Robert Conrad and Ross Martin as Secret Service agents working in the Old West armed with assorted gadgetry. In 1999, it was re-imagined as a mediocre feature film starring Kevin Kline and Will Smith in place of Conrad and Martin. Here’s hoping Moore fares a bit better with his version.

There isn't much mythos meat on the Wild, Wild West bone which makes it an odd choice for someone like Moore. I have enough faith in him to believe he can do something magnificent with it, though. How about you all?
