Noomi Rapace could take on lead role in Ridley Scott's ALIEN Prequel

The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo star Noomi Rapace could end up taking the lead role in Ridley Scott's Alien prequel. Other actresses that Fox and Scott have been meeting with include Carey Mulligan and Abbie Cornish, but according to Deadline, it was Rapace that left the strongest impression.

As of right now no decisions have been made, but I would love to see Rapace take the lead female role in the movie! She's got the tough look and attitude that would fit the world and setting of this Alien franchise. If Scott is looking for a strong solid female lead, then I think he's found her.

Rapace just joined Robert Downey Jr and Jude Law in the Sherlock Holmes sequel. She can next be seen in the The Girl Who Kicked The Hornet's Nest, see trailer below.
