Harrison Ford says Han Solo Should Have Died
Come on Harrison Ford! Why can't you just be thankful for Han Solo launching your acting career! Why do you have to keep reiterating that fact that you think Han should have died in Star Wars The Empire Strikes Back?
Ford is currently doing the press rounds for his new film Morning Glory. But in every interview he does, it seems like he manages to talk about a movie he made 27 years ago. I guess it's more interesting than the movie he's supposed to be talking about, which I won't be seeing.
He was talking with ABC News about his new movie, and Ford was asked why there were no new Star Wars films featuring Han Solo (which is kind of a stupid question if you ask me). He explained that not only was there no reason for the character to return, but also:
As a character he was not so interesting to me. I thought he should have died in the last one, just to give it some bottom. George [Lucas] didn't think there was any future in dead Han toys.
Not only that, but everyone loves Han Solo! Return of the Jedi would have been an even worse movie without the character.
Do you think Han Solo should have died in Empire Strikes Back?
