Darren Aronofsky Reveals the Official Title for WOLVERINE 2

Drew McWeeny at HitFix just reported that director Darren Aronofsky has revealed the title of his Wolverine movie.

The film that he's directing is officially called The Wolverine, and there won't be a number attached to it.  In our interview, he referred to the movie as a "one-off," and he emphasized that the film isn't a sequel in any conventional sense.

The Wolverine.  Sounds good.  The movie is based on the first solo Wolverine mini-series from 1982 by Chris Claremont and a young Frank Miller that sent Logan to Japan in a story involving the ninja clan the Hand.  I like that they maybe just won't even mention the first movie.  I'm cautiously optimistic about this one.  It has a great director, and a classic self-contained story as its source material.

What say you?  Excited for Wolverine to get another chance, or did the last go leave too bad a taste in your mouth?
